An apron is more than a piece of cloth tied at the waist. It carries the quiet comfort of home, the promise of something warm simmering on the stove. When I slip my apron on it feels like I'm going back to a simpler time of life. Where time slows just enough to savor small moments of joy. After specking to my mom, I can remember my great grandma wearing them even my grandma. I feel that it's a dying art that will soon be forgotten in time if we don't bring them back into our kitchens.
